New sponsors added!

We cannot say thanks enough to our sponsors and the people that are helping us out along this journey.  You’ve probably seen all of the great companies previously listed here on our website, and we’ve added a few more on the trip north.  I’d like to add a few words about our newest sponsors now.
Morgan Goldie and North Water paddling products out of Vancouver have come onboard recently, providing a spray deck that will be used on our beautiful loaner Nova Craft Prospector 18′ canoe. We provided the measurements the day we left Minnesota, and they have sewn together a great product for us. (It’s waiting at the post office in Whitehorse for us right now, in fact!)
And speaking of Whitehorse, our favorite Canadian beer company has also just agreed to sponsor us: Yukon Brewing!  Bob Baxter and his compatriots brewed our favorite beer on the last two trips up here – Ice Fog IPA. It’s a perfect beer after finishing up a day on the water. (And believe us, we sampled plenty of different Canadian beers before coming to this conclusion!)  🙂
We also have two great accommodations that are helping us with logistics, too:  The Dawson City River Hostel and the Yukon River Camp.
The Dawson City River Hostel is located across the Yukon from Dawson, and is about as cool and funky a place to camp and stay as you will ever find. We’ve camped at the hostel on our last two trips, love it, and will do so again. Dieter Reinmuth is the owner of the hostel and has as many stories to share as there are moose in the Yukon. (He’s written articles and books on his journeys as well.)
Finally, we want to say a big thank you to the Yukon River Camp, which sits on the Yukon River at its intersection with the Dalton Highway (also known as The Haul Road.) Brett Carlson and Jeffery Groenke have helped us with some logistical issues, and we’re looking forward to spending a night at their hotel when we reach the halfway point of the journey. (A warm shower will be a nice thing as well!)
Again, we can’t say thanks enough to these fine organizations and people for their support of the Yukon Journey. We hope you’ll take a moment to look at our sponsors section, and link over to their website to learn more about their products and services.
So it’s back outside now to work on the gear for the Yukon Journey, which starts in just two days!
Thanks to everyone for your help and interest on this charitable expedition!
John
